Call for papers

Who are we

Our journal is open access, open to many disciplines. We wish to welcome innovative work dealing with the study of skins (human and animal) and its appendices. The internetic nature of the journal allows the distribution of multimedia content.

Who are you

If you wish to submit a text or a thematic file to us, we encourage you to send it to us. We encourage all specialists in the humanities and social sciences (students, graduates, academics, freelancers, etc.) However, we do not accept any submissions containing discriminatory, racist, sexist, hateful language or images …

Submit a thematic issue.

A process with shared responsibilities.

Although the editorial committee does not take charge of the thematic files, it receives and examines with interest any project for a thematic issue that is submitted to it. On request, the committee sends the information necessary for the preparation of a project to be submitted. If the project is accepted by the editorial committee, a process with shared responsibilities is triggered.

It is up to the issue coordinators.

  • Prepare a call for contributions (accompanied by visuals), for which they must obtain the approval of the editorial committee;
  • To receive proposed articles, to make a selection, to inform the chosen authors and to check that the texts are up to the standards of the journal;
    To ensure the verification of the image credits proposed by the authors, and of the possible payment of the attached rights;
  • Within an agreed timeframe, ensure that the articles have been submitted directly, by the authors, on the journal’s evaluation platform;
  • To appoint one expert per article (the second expert will be appointed by the editorial committee);
  • It is up to the coordinators in collaboration with their scientific committee to give their approval to the draft opinions and to inform the editorial committee;
  • It is up to the coordinator, in collaboration with their scientific committee, to send the journal their decision concerning each new version (return to the author for new modifications or publication).

It is up to the editorial board.

  • To set up a reading committee for each article submitted (an expert appointed by the coordinator completed by an expert proposed by the journal);
  • To prepare, in the light of the evaluation sheets, a draft editorial opinion for each author;
  • To submit the draft opinions as well as the evaluation sheets to the coordinator;
  • To forward the notices to the authors;
  • To receive, if necessary, the modified versions with the translation of the summaries and the keywords provided by the authors;
  • To send the coordinator a copy of the modified version and a comparison (a document showing the modifications made to the original version);
    To follow up the decision to the coordinator and to inform the authors;
    To send the revised version (linguistic, spelling, grammatical) to the authors for approval and authorization to publish;
  • To put the texts online (publication)
